Question: Seeking assistance in Seattle!!! Does anybody know of any quality group homes for a young woman with brain injury in the Seattle (Renton) area? Former paralegal, early 30's, needs some assistance when "absent" seizures hit. Independent with transportation and self care, organized, neat. Delightful, interesting young woman!
Answer: I've listed below the Seattle care facilities listed in the 1998-99 BIA National Directory of Brain Injury Rehabilitation Services. I don't know if they're good, bad or ugly but it might be a starting point. Also, there is an organization based in Washington State that offers referrals. Their web site is at http://www.headinjury.com/brain. Go to http://www.biausa.org/ this is home page for National Brain Injury association. They can put you in touch with a state organization who can tell you of a support group near you.
