Disney settles brain injury lawsuit

Question:
This really scares me. My daughter has two head shunts due to brain injury at birth. She has not had any problems in the last 12 years.

Can you tell me what are the rides to avoid that are this head jerking to cause brain injuries?

Answer: The injuries suffered in rapid deceleration head motions are due to a "shear / strain" effect on blood vessels in the head, basically tearing them (like in "shaken baby syndrome").

Personal injury lawyers claim it even happens to microscopic vessels in the head (and the bleeding is therefor very difficult to detect...BS!). The plaintiff usually claims headaches and bad sex after getting rear-ended. I testified in a case and everything I read went against the "microscopic injury" theory.

Does she still have the VP shunt in place? It is much stronger than a blood vessel, but I would be leery of putting someone who has a history of cerebral edema, onto a roller coaster. I'd definitely ask at least TWO neurosurgeons.Disney settles brain injury lawsuit over park ride
