Irreversible Damage

Question:
If you ever watched the series called "TAXI", you will remember Jim. A buddy of mine was similar to Jim. He use to be a very "sharp" person. I really thought he would become an excellent lawyer. He got into the drug scene and lost interest in his goal and his wit became "dim" due to irreversible brain damage. Eventually, he dropped out of college, and now works at a grocery store stocking shelves. What a "waste".Since when has brain damage ever stopped anyone from becoming a lawyer?

Answer: In Italy you need no brain damage for this to happen. We are plenty of university gradueted but with a small demand of skilled worker. If you waste years and miss the right time you are out. I dont know what you mean with 'his wit became dim' (i am dutch dont know every english word). Anyway one of the reasons i reply, except for being curious about the irreversible braindamage, is that i wasted a lot of my own capacities also, because my brain WAS, dont think it is anymore, good enough to become a surgeon which was my goal already since age 6, but when it was time to study age 14 i did not feel to and messed up to end working in a damned laundry shop hot ironing pants a part of them thousand a day i ing dreamt about pants until i had enough and made myself got fired by punching the boss else no payment when i would leave voluntarily. After that some years in a state hotel got addicted inside in '86 now 2007 since three years i managed to put an end to things with methadone what i will take for the rest of my life, no problem.
